Hello friends,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas or are having a wondrful Hanukkah.
Since the election there has been a plethora of good information coming out every day. I would have liked to share dozens of articles/posts, but I know your time is valuable, and I don’t want to clutter your Inbox. Below I’ve included some snippets that may catch your eye - because my ‘mission’ is to help people be informed. Because of the extreme government overreach since 2020 (using ‘covid’ as an excuse), many people have awakened to the fact that freedom in America is in danger. Thomas Jefferson is credited with this: "An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people." And James Madison said this: "A well-instructed people alone can be permanently a free people.” And from Stephen F. Austin: "A nation can only be free, happy, and great in proportion to the virtue and intelligence of the people." And, of course, we’ve all heard ‘Knowledge is power.”

From Newsweek: 2025 Will Be the Best Year America's Had in a Long Time
Excerpts: …Donald J. Trump poised to reenter the White House on January 20, America stands on the threshold of a new era of prosperity at home and peace abroad... will also represent a rare break with rule by Washington's corrupt and discredited administrative-managerial caste in favor of an administration determined to demolish its structures, banish its values, and prevent its return... Trump will have the power to maintain and expand the tax cuts of his first administration. He will also have the opportunity to slash the bloated federal budget by as much as one-third... protections for American jobs and manufacturing will reverse decades of economically harmful and strategically short-sighted decline and strike a blow against middle American poverty... Pro-growth policies in the energy sector will restore the economically and strategically essential goal of American energy independence.
2024 started bringing us hope even before the election. Though I felt like the pendulum was beginning to swing in the right direction, I didn’t dare get my hopes too high. SCOTUS Opinions Indicate The Death Of The Administrative State Is Just Beginning. Here are a few examples: Limiting Federal Regulatory Power including overturning the Chevron doctrine; the Supreme Court unanimously ruled in favor of the NRA; Presidential Immunity: The Court granted former President Donald Trump "presumptive immunity" for official acts during his tenure, including actions related to the 2020 election; Religious freedom-Coach Joe Kennedy; and more.
As we go into a new year, we are full of hope and relief. However, we are not going into this year wearing rose colored glasses.
The election was a big win. But, it is just the start of the battles that need to be fought on many fronts.
We are already seeing efforts by the left and by the losing side of the Republican Party to divide the MAGA movement. Please be savvy to these attempts.
There is talk now of big ideas….buying Greenland, making Canada a U.S. state, reclaiming the Panama Canal. These are far-flung and complicated notions but, honestly, they are fun to think about and debate. American history is replete with wild proposals that did eventually happen.
It looks as though we are going to have a real national debate over many aspects of immigration, including the controversial H-1B Visa Program. This is a good thing for us to do. Sparring over this issue will hopefully expose the flaws so that it can be made better.
What’s the truth about ‘climate change’? Heritage.org has gathered several 2024 papers with data that may surprise you. Also, you can check out Climate Realism for reams of information.
About education, this from Tom Woods will give you something to think about: Suppose Walmart funded and administered the schools, with portraits of the the various Walmart CEOs smiling benignly upon the children from the classroom wall, and students taught to credit these men for every good thing about America. We'd find that creepy. But when it's U.S. presidents on the wall, and the U.S. government credited with all that's good and decent, that natural skepticism goes right out the window.
Don’t fall for the Dems’ hysteria. Facts about a ‘government shutdown’:
The federal government never shuts down completely. Federal activities (and employees) deemed "essential" will continue to draw from the national treasury. Examples include national security, border patrol, law enforcement, air traffic control, disaster response and more.
Many crucial services are provided without interruption. Government services such as Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid payments, as well as veteran’s benefits and mail services continue uninterrupted. They are funded independently of the annual appropriations process.
Staff will be paid. A lapse of under two weeks has less effect since federal employees will still get their paychecks on time. However, longer shutdowns are typically coupled with providing back pay to bureaucrats and congressional staffers.

This interview with Marc Andreeson on some of the evils of government overreach is eye opening. He tells how Big Tech and Big Business (and more) work hand-in-glove with the federal government to keep competitors from even starting a business. There’s a 3-hour version, and an 8-minute clip.

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." – Samuel Adams
